Our Vehicles

arboricultural Tipper Bodies

Aluminium

  • Sides are the strongest option and stand up to power of a wood chipper.
  • As its double skinned, minor damage on the inside wont show on the outside.
  • Not affected by moisture ingress.
  • Heavy loads won’t make the sides bow.

GRP

  • Lightweight option in comparison to aluminium
  • Easy to sign write as there’s no joins.
  • Very durable but not as forgiving when accidents occur, as if the outside skin is broken, it may cause swelling.
  • More cost efficient.

Roof Types

Arb Tipper Bodies, West Sussex

Fixed Roof

  • Checker plate is lightweight
  • Pheonal ply is strong and can be stood on without sagging.

Adjustable Roof

  • Box frame with checker plate infills is the heavier option but prevents bowing of the sides when in use with GRP.
  • Alluminium plank style roof is the lighter alternitive and still has the strengh for ladders and being stood on.

Our Tuffpod toolboxes come with either doors or a roller shutter.

Doors

Doors are less likely to cause problems after years of abuse. Bar gear is a very simple secure locking system that withstands hourly use with little to no maintenance. Twist handles are a cheaper option but don’t have the strength or longevity of bar gear.

Roller Shutter

Shutters are slightly more costly but are
a neat out of the way option. Due to the
design of roller shutters, with constant
use they are more susceptible to issues.

In-built Toolbox

The in-built toolbox is a cost effective solution and lend themselves to smaller bodies where space for wood chip/cuttings is limited. During tipping tools could be damaged as they will move.

Galvanised / Painted

Arb Tipper Floor and Tipping Gear

We take pride in using quality pumps and rams that are reliable and can tip the fullest loads. All tipper hinges have grease points to reduce stress and prevent rust.

Galvanising

  • Galvanising is more costly but will greatly increase the lifespan of the body.
  • Vehicle looks newer for longer

Paint

  • Raptor paint is a tough protective layer and withstands heavy use but the rough surface is not as aesthetically pleasing.
  • Ideal for use on steel floors
  • Two pack paint is a smart gloss finish but is less durable with constant use.
